Afriqiyah Airways launched the Tripoli-Johannesburg route on the 19th of September, 2009, which is for any Libyan Airline for the first time has operated in such the longest cross-continent nonstop flight ever. The introduction of the Johannesburg direct flight is the continuation of Afriqiyah Airway's efforts and determination to link African States and Africa with the world.
Airbus A330 is a long range aircraft, wide body with very luxurious two cabins, one for the business class, very comfortable, high end very close to the first class where the seats can be fully extended to a bed of 180 degrees, with separate reading lights, separate electrical power supply for PC, separate 12.1 TV screen where you can watch your own selection of video games and program. Afriqiyah Airways also makes the economy class as comfortable as ever for its passengers. The delivery of the second Airbus A330 is a continuation of a big contract that Afriqiyah Airways had with the Airbus Company. Afriqiyah Airways will receive another similar A330 Airbus end of October this year. Other delivered aircrafts were Airbus A319. Afriqiyah Airways, a Libyan airline company established in 2001 designed to link Africa with regional and long haul routes and connecting Africa with Europe, the Middle East and Asia, does not only aim to expand but also to provide its best available services to an increasing number of customers.
